Hellyer College needed a solution in lieu of an orientation evening to talk directly to their target audience of potential students and parents. They needed a way to showcase the range of subjects, excellent facilities and friendly culture on offer.
The Tasman Digital team came up with a plan to create a series of digital content that would combine beautiful cinematography with authentic story telling. We produced a 7 minute video to embed on the landing page of their website, a series of short social media optimized videos to be distributed on their social networks and a gallery of still frames for them to use in their email marketing campaigns.
This project was an awesome opportunity to let our content creators flex their creative muscles. We wanted to capture the school in a real and authentic way and decided the best people to tell the story were the students and teachers themselves. Our cinematographers spent a full day shooting on the RED dragon in every faculty of the school, getting a little overexcited and capturing well and truly over half a terabyte of high quality video content. We then got to work interviewing a range of teachers and students, digging deep to find out what makes their school so great. Our motion graphic designer had (too much?) fun using their logo to create some high energy graphics and ensured that the Hellyer branding was reflected in the final video series.
Hellyer College in Burnie, Tasmania provides a wide range of options into Vocational Education and Training (VET) and academic pathways with strong links to TasTAFE, the University of Tasmania and other education providers. There are over one hundred subjects to choose from! The social media campaign gave Hellyer College a chance to give a brief overview of the offerings at the college while giving potential students an insight into the college and inspire them to continue on to further education.
